Game Gear was Sega's portable console to battle Nintendo's Gameboy, this color handheld console was also released after Atari Lynx and Turbo Express consoles. Sega Game Gear is a Portable version of the Master System, there are some adaptors that are pretty useful, like the "PowerBack", the "Super Wide Gear", and the "Gear-to-Gear Cable" adapters.
Since some of us doesn't really know what is a Game Gear nor is fimilar with there adaptors, lets take a look closer to these cool adapters available to this Sega Console.
Now first off, you many be wondering what kind of power supply it needs, Game Gear needs 6 AA Batteries for it's internal power and a 9V DC, 300mA, 3W power cable to power it if you you wanted to save your batteries power.

The "Super Wide Gear" is like the HandyPak for Gameboy, it magnifies the Game Gears small screen, makes a great adapter for those that like bigger screens.
The "Car Gear adapter" allows the user to plug their Game Gear into the car cigarette lighters to power the system while traveling, finally those car cigarette lighters are useful for people that don't smoke :D.
The "MasterGear Converter" adapter allows the Game Gear to use Sega Master System cartridges. But in reverse of playing a Game Gear games on a Master System console, it wasn't possible since the Game Gear has larger color palette.
The "Gear-to-Gear Cable" is another thing that was similar to GameBoy, it established a connection between 2 consoles.
The "PowerBack" extends the Game Gears battery life, and it is also rechargeable with Sega's Genesis 2 power adapter.
